We took advantage of a surprise day off (cancelations) to go again last week, this time snorkeling/pulling the equipments on a inflatable kayak to the interesting part and diving the way back to the East beach (small harbour/kantina). We reached the arch in only 20minutes (I know now the GPS coordinates are accurate) then continued between the shore and the western island until the canyon with "broken amphori carpets", there we were suprised by quite a strong westbound current (while wind was gently blowing us the other way). Good dive, but didn't find anything special and all medium sized fish were gone but maybe just unlucky.
Jérôme Smeetsthe shallow part of the "amphori canyon" is exactly beetween the shore and the tiny rocky island visible on the google map. The gap beetween this tiny island and the bigger one south is much shallower than rest of the area, I guess that explains the current there. I would be very curious to explore the other side of that island (but too risky without a boat and surface safety I think)
